Top Pick, Heifer bull, Low risk PAP Actual BW: 66 Lbs., WW ratio: 101, YW ratio: 107, Scrotal: 37.5, Frame: 4.9, PAP: 36
We are starting the sale this year with Tristan's standout bull Laramie. I have thought long and hard what to say about this bull cause I can't fault him so I can talk forever about him. He has a double digit CED and Negative BW EPD along with breed leading Maternal EPD projections. Laramie has developed into an outstanding bull in his physical make up. He is extremely clean in his front extension with a pretty Angus head, sleek neck and nice tight shoulder makeup. Through the middle 1/3 he has tremendous rib curvature and dimension. His power comes in the back 1/3, thick butted with a big flat, long hip. His 2 year old dam is moderate framed with a picture perfect udder. With a Low Risk PAP ranking he can run at any elevation with confidence. You will drive a lot of miles and pay a lot of money to buy one that is better than Laramie! |

Top Pick, Growth bull, Actual BW: 80 Lbs., WW ratio: 105, YW ratio: 103, Scrotal: 40, Frame: 4.1, PAP: 39 Absolute is a free moving, active bull that is a stud. He is thick from end to end and attractive from any angle. He blends nicely from his neck and shoulders back into is heart and middle region then continues with this smoothness clear back to a wide and thick rear quarter. He has very good tesitcal development with a 40cm scrotum at 365 day sired by Musgrave 316 Exclusive we know he will sire outstanding and sought after steers with heifer calves headed to the replacement pen. He does have a tic more birth weight than we normally get but at 80 Lbs. he is very much acceptable. His dam needs to have some mention. The 515 cow is a 1300lb. cow with super udder confirmation and suspension. She is very fertile and easy fleshing. In my opinion she IS the right kind. I have said for a lot of years the angus breed has lost too much muscle. It has been our goal in our sire selection to gain that muscle back. When I look at Absoulte from the rear I believe I am on the right track. He is without doubt the thickest Angus bull we have raise, including Bear, that we have raised to date. |

Growth bull, Actual BW: 76 Lbs., WW ratio: 100, YW ratio: 100, Scrotal: 34.5, Frame: 4.1, PAP: 35 Director is a bull that has had my eye as he has grown up and developed. He is muscular, big ribbed, wide based, and square hipped. However, he is still shaped correctly in the shoulder, straight in his lines and very active on the move. He hails from an older dam that has stayed in the herd becuase she produces the right kind of problem free cattle. If you market your calves on the video or use Branded programs in your marketing, Director qualifies for the "Targeting the brand" program. Help yourself to increase the value of your calves. |

Top Pick, Heifer bull, Double digit CED, Neg BW Actual BW: 63 Lbs., WW ratio: 102, YW ratio: 102, Scrotal: 38.75, Frame: 4.9, PAP: 45 President is among the top of the breed for Calving ease, Maternal and Carcass trait EPD's. He has a tremendous future as a do it all kind of bull. We stacked the pedigree with Calving ease, Maternal and Carcass with President. He qualifies for the "targeting the brand" program and is top of the breed for all the $values tracked by AAA. With all that said, he is a bull that walks the walk and talks the talk. He has a sleek and attractive angular front end, plenty of middle capacity and volume. What stands out to me, with all that has been said already, is his flow when he walks. He has plenty of flex in his hocks to drive his fluid motion when on the move. He will cover the ground and get to the top of the mountain. President's dam is one of our top cows and has placed several bulls in top cattlemen's hands. She has brought us another good one. |

Calving ease with supervision Actual BW: 77 Lbs., WW ratio: 98, YW ratio: 104, Scrotal: 37, Frame: 5.3, PAP: 47 A very correct Exclusive son that is a little different from the rest of the sire group. Chairman has more frame than the rest of the Exclusive bulls so for those that have a smaller framed cow herd this is the bull to cross to get the extra pounds at weaning. He is extremely deep bodied, but has plenty of muscle to go along with his depth. His claw and angle EPD's are top of the breed and these projections are back by his physical apperance. He travels like a cat, has a big solid foot that strikes the ground and covers his tracks perfectly. We like the flex of his back leg to support this big bodied rascal in the breeding pasture. His dam goes back to Schaff Angus Valley genetics. She has a nice tidy udder, with good suspension and high milk flow. |

Growth bull, breed leading EPD's Actual BW: 74 Lbs., WW ratio: 105, YW ratio: 106, Scrotal: 37.5, Frame: 6.5, PAP: 42 0108 is a larger massive bull with tremendous depth and capacity. For a growth bull he still has a modest 74 lb birth weight and curve bending growth. His dam is a very good milking Sitz 6595 daughter that always brings in the big calves that impress us with their size. Check out his EPD profile, it is as impressive with growth, maternal, docility and $values in the top percentile of the Angus breed. Having kept all the daughters produced by his dam should be tesitment alone but seeing the number of top ranch outfits that have used her sons is icing on the cake. Add some weight and volume to steers. |

The muscle shape, performance and quality he possesses is exciting to us. We see thickness from end to end on a moderate frame with a long hip and flat top. Gentleman is easy to be around but is free moving and has a big motor. His dam is a moderate framed daughter of Concensus 7229 which brings the growth and maternal into the pedigree. Cross Gentleman on some larger framed cows and watch the calves grow. |

Growth bull Actual BW: 77 Lbs., WW ratio: 109, YW ratio: 107, Scrotal: 39.75, Frame: 4.8, PAP: 45 Idaho Charm has excelled from the day one with explosive early growth but keeping it to a moderate frame. He comes to us with expectations for high maternal and exceptional carcass traits. His 13 year old dam out did herself with this Southern Charm son that exhibits the mass and muscle that we don't see all that often within the angus breed. With a Carcass EPDs in the top 15% he easily qualifies for the "Target the brand" program that will help to sell your steers and add carcass qualities to your future replacements. |

He is wide based, open in his rib shape plus being bold and square across his top and down in his quarter. His growth, maternal and carcass numbers excell across the board. He is a curve bender. Calving Ease Actual BW: 72 Lbs., WW ratio: 94, YW ratio: 99, Scrotal: 38.5, Frame: 4.9, PAP: 40 We are starting off a group of Bear sons with a very stylish bull. With his actual BW and knowing his pedigree I will call this bull a calving ease prospect. Exceptional is stylish and chiseled in his head and neck with tight and correct shoulders. His mid region is bold, deep and adequate capacity. 0151's real power comes with his back 1/3 being thick and deep with a level and powerful hip. I really like his profile look when you view him from the side. He has a presence that says look at me. His dam is among several daughters that I have kept from our 86T cow. |

Calving ease on larger heifers. Actual BW: 78 Lbs., WW ratio: 96, YW ratio: 100, Scrotal: 32, Frame: 6, PAP: 50 This Bear son has a double digit CED and low BW projection but is just a tic larger actual birth weight so I'm recommending him to be used on larger heifers if used that way. Billings is a larger framed bull which suprises us being sired by Bear and out of a Black Granite dam. He will, without doubt add Maternal with that pedigree and the larger frame will help to increase lbs on sale day. |

Man have I liked this bull from the day he was born. It may be because I like his dam so well. 0118 is a double digit CED low BW calving ease bull. He did have an 80 lb. Bw so be prudent with your breeding decisions. He has huge Milk EPD making his daughters very desirable in evironments that can sustain this number. When you evaluate him you find a deep ribbed, long spined bull with a deep and muscular hind quarter. As he walks you see that he is wide in his stride and covers his tracks very well. If I were to change him any, I would lengthen his neck just a tic. Jet Black cattle have been topping the sales all across the nation the last couple of years. Look him up! |

Twin to a heifer, both raised by their 3 year old dam. Actual BW: 70 Lbs., WW ratio: 99, YW ratio: 98, Scrotal: 36, Frame: 4, PAP: 40 Here is a small framed Billy Ray bull that was a twin to a heifer. The greatest part of this story is that his 3 year old dam raised them both, running with the rest of the herd on long stem hay and mineral. Being a twin I am not confident enough to call him a heifer bull. I do know that his Full Power dam is going to be one of our best down the road. She is fertile, good milking and a cow that does her job with no fan fare. I would take a herd identical to her. When evaluating 0707 you see a moderate frame, very big topped and balanced bull. He is attractive in his front 1/3 with plenty of mid body capacity and hind quarters that balance out a nice individual. I am confident that he will breed a little more frame than he exhibits but still will be somewhat moderate. |

Calving ease, Big Milk EPD Actual BW: 73 Lbs., WW ratio: 99, YW ratio: 95, Scrotal: 36, Frame: 4.9, PAP: 42 Billy Ray was a bull I used to pasture expose our 1st calf heifers after AI so I didn't get a lot of his offspring. That I am sad about. My partner on him increased his steer payweight and the heifer calves were all sought after as replacements. If you have the environment to take advantage of his Milk EPD take advantage of Bear River. Not only will he make great females but with his extended skeleton he will sire steers with that extra stretch and dimension to bring you a bigger payday when his steers hit the market. |

Actual BW: 81 lbs., WW ratio: ET, YW ratio: ET, Scrotal: 35.7, Frame: 4.8, PAP: 38 Chute Boss is a Cowboy Up ET calf. His donor dam was sold to Triangle T and is in Aaron's donor herd raising Limflex calves in Nebraska. Before we made 83X a donor she raise several replacement heifers and a couple top selling bulls for us. I really like this big cow, thus we flushed her to keep her genetics going forward in our herd. Chute Boss was raised on a poor milking recip cow and had a pretty rough start but has made up lots of ground to end up quality enough to make it into the sale. He is long spined, moderate framed and has ample muscle. I like the maternal side of the Cowboy Up bull and I believe that Chute boss will be an asset to his new owner. |

Calving ease, High Milk EPD Actual BW: 62 Lbs., WW ratio: 100, YW ratio: 100, Scrotal: 35, Frame: n/a, PAP: 40 Wasatch is one of those special bulls. We usually don't keep these late born calves as bulls but I had to with him. This Billy Ray son has a neat and clean neck/shoulder junction with a deep chest floor, with straight lines. Being wide topped, long loined and deep quartered rounds out this impressive young prospect. I really like the width in his stance and the soundness in the set to his back leg. He is just right to run with a group of heifers this summer. He has the ability to sire some really nice replacement heifers if desired. Study this one over close and see if you can find many faults. |

Growth bull Actual BW: 88 Lbs., WW ratio: ET, YW ratio: ET, We have 3 ET spring born calves in the sale this year. They are from the 83X donor cow that we sent to Nebraska to be part of an aggresive Limflex program. The 83X cow is a very fertile donor averaging 20 grade one eggs per flush. Pilot is an own son of Aviator with a lot of good to him. His BW EPD says calving ease but his actual birth weight causes me concern in calling him that. 102 is just starting to hit his stride as we get things ready for the sale. We have developed him slow to protect his usefullness with no hot feeds to make him look good come sale day. I think you will like the looks of this structurally sound and big capacity bull. |
