Welcome once again to our annual online offering! 2024 marks 31 years in the seed-stock business and our 12th online sale. GBT Angus was established in the early 90's with the name born from the idea to incorporate initials of those involved, my step father Gerry, my mom Betty and myself, Trevor- making GBT. The beginnings started at our home place where I grew up, just south of Kisbey. This is now the home to Jim and Sarah Anderson's Right Cross Ranch. Cheryl and I took up residence and have since called home, on her family's original Clements homestead near Wawota. The move was made with the cow herd, over twenty years ago now, in the spring of 2003.

We couldn't be more proud of this bunch of bulls. Every single one is sired by a herd bull that we have raised or walked and all but seven are out of a dam, grand dam and great grand dam that were bred and born right here and carry the GBT prefix. This approach has enabled us to develop a herd of cattle that are truly genetically adapted to their environment and fit a no frills, commercial cow based style of management. Each bull is a product of an intensive selection process. #1. Every bull was born within a 45 day calving season(fertility). #2 Is out of a mom that calves and nurses without assistance(maternal intelligence, udder quality). #3 Has multi generations of cows reared in a system that mimics an efficient commercial program(suited to their environment). We strongly believe in transparency and the ability for our customers to evaluate a product that hasn't been manipulated or altered. These bulls have never had their feet or hair trimmed-same goes for the cows behind them. Bulls were developed without grain after weaning, went to grass early spring then reared December through to sale time on 4 lbs. ground oats, 2 lbs. protein/mineral supplement and free choice alfalfa/grass hay. We highly value offering fit and athletic bulls that will seamlessly transition to any real world cattle operation. Slowly grown for optimal development-never pushed and burnt out for unrealistic gain.

Please join us to evaluate the bulls, cows, heifer mates and herd bulls at any time. If you are unable to make it to view them prior to the auction, don't hesitate to call and discuss your needs.

Respectfully,

Trevor and Cheryl Branvold

These are all coming two year old, May/June pasture born bulls. They have went through two years of rigorous discretion and culling for attitude, the ability to flourish in a low input environment and soundness and proper conformation. Two year olds is all we do and as always, nothing has been offered prior to this sale.
